Join us at the 2017 Blue Star Regional Sustainability Awards on Saturday 21 October, hosted by last year’s overall winner, Maitland City Council. 

 These annual awards are presented to publicly recognise and acknowledge the contributions of NSW regional councils, community groups and businesses towards responsible environmental management and heritage protection in their local area.

The day will commence at Maitland Gaol with a selection of tours showcasing aspects of Maitland’s winning entry. A BBQ lunch, together with presentations of this year’s entries and a diverse line up of case studies and other interesting and informative projects, will follow.

The Awards Gala Dinner will take place at the historic Maitland Town Hall where you will enjoy a three-course dinner and drinks and entertainment.

The evening will culminate in the announcement of the overall 2017 Blue Star Regional Sustainability Award winner, which will represent NSW at the Keep Australia Beautiful, National Tidy Towns Awards to be held in Barmera SA in early 2018.
